DESERT ISLAND DISCS
The group were asked to reflect on significant times in their lives as part of the Unit on BIG EVENTS (Unit 02). The group dicussions involved thinking about events like LIVE AID / GLASTONBURY and the BERLIN WALL. The Berlin Wall was linked in people's minds with 2 songs - one of them being David Bowie's ''HEROES''. This led to students recollecting and talking about significant music in their lives - akin to the long running BBC Radio programme Desert Island Discs.
